As usual, I have nothing to say.  So instead, go read Aunt B’s post because it’s my most favorite thing that I’ve read in a long time.

When I first got my MacBook, as I have previously mentioned, I didn’t want to be one of those Mac people. However, after hearing/reading one too many people getting obnoxiously and unnecessarily defensive about PCs (which I think may just be because they’re intimidated by Macs – I know I once was). I may have to join the douchebag parade.

That aside, I present you with a few Mac-centric things that I found worth sharing – most of which were sent to me by Chuck*:

The Explanation

I hate my job.  I hate my job so much that all I can do when I get home is space out and stare blankly at my television until I realize that Lou Dobbs is on and I should change it.

Work sucks everything out of me until I have nothing left.

The truth is that writing here about my job would make interesting reading – in many cases, it would be particularly entertaining to my more politically engaged friends.  However, the fear of having those posts found (we have a lot of internet stalkers and backstabbers in my office) and being fired has kept me from bringing it up.  Since I don’t really give a fuck anymore, I may slacken that self-imposed restriction.

Then again, I may not…

Maybe I’ll get a little motivation and post something from time to time, but we’ll just have to wait and see on that one.

However, I hope to be back with a vengeance sometime in late spring, as I am planning – one way or another – not to stay at this job past then.  Perhaps sooner, if I can shake something loose with my wimpy little résumé.

I started to go into an entertaining little summary of why my job sucks so much, but I thought better of it due to the politically-sensitive/talk radio-related aspect of my job (yes, I realize that this makes no sense if you don’t know exactly where I work).  I don’t worry that much about anyone at work finding it so much as I do having it quoted elsewhere where more than 3 people will actually see it.

Being fired would be a relief, but I would prefer to have it be over something that’s not my fault!

Seriously, though, when I leave that place, it’s on.

Because I know you’re clamoring for my oh-so-fascinating words:

1. You may now refer to me as “Supreme Leader.”
2. I am still very busy and World Wide Internets* do not fit into my schedule. This is not permanent. I have a plan.
3. I may decide to live in a cardboard box soon, as my job is insanity-inducing and I don’t know how much longer I can do it.
4. I joined the Y.  The downtown facility is sexy – much like your Supreme Leader (I keed! I keed!)
5. I am sick of people embarrassing our state in front of the rest of the country.**
6. Iran seems like a shitty place to live.  Also, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad really needs a stylist – he is a terrible dresser.  I like to call him “Members Only” since he looks like he’s wearing a Members Only jacket – unfortunately, now that I Google the two, I see that I wasn’t the only one to make this connection.
7. I’m calling the President next time there’s a fly in my house.  Apparently PETA’s pissing and moaning about the flyacide.  GROAN.

*I’ve got to say, I’m simultaneously jealous/resentful of you folks who get to use the internet however you like while at work.  I guess I’d have an easier time keeping up with Google Reader and Twitter, too, if I could use the internet for things other than looking up weird medical conditions while at my desk.  Seriously, though, even if they didn’t treat us like children at my office, I still wouldn’t have the time.  I stay excessively busy.
