Muting the #oscars hashtag has been phenomenal! Now the trade deadline tweets won’t get lost in the mess (though that’s getting tedious as well).
It would be one thing if people would a) limit their awards show tweets, and b) make sure they’re at least funny or insightful, but they typically aren’t. I don’t really need my feed clogged with “ZOMG!!1! NICKI MINAJ!” I also don’t need a recap of who won what – it’s on network tv, and if I care, I’ll watch it (SPOILER: I don’t care).
Oh well. It’s not really important. I’m glad that my life is relatively drama-free to the point where I only have something so mundane to complain about.
If this makes you sad, I’m sorry it makes you sad. Not having any Cadbury Eggs makes me sad.
